WHAT TO EXPECT
Dress appropriately for the day’s weather. Layers are best so you can adjust before your tour. Close toed shoes are required, no Chacos/Vibram 5 Fingers will be allowed. Also please do not wear any jewelry or earrings that are long or dangle. Please leave these at home, in your car or a locker at Base Camp.
Yes. There are bathrooms outside by our facility however, there are no bathrooms out on the tour.
Participants should be in good health and be prepared to climb staircases and hike a few short trails. Total hiking distance is approximately ¼ of a mile. Participants must also be able to get down from the zip line using the provided deck steps which is similar to the bottom 3-4 rungs of a ladder while assisted by the tour guide. Must have full range of motion in your arms, shoulders, neck, and back to zip line.
No. You will NOT be required to “hand brake” or drag yourself over spans on cable. Our carefully designed course, innovative braking system, and expert staff will take care of you from start to finish. You can just ride the lines and enjoy the views.

Tips are not expected but greatly appreciated and it is a common industry practice to leave a tip for your guides. It is normal for each guide from your tour to receive a 10-15% tip. You will have the opportunity to tip with cash or credit after your tour when you arrive back at Base Camp. All tips are shared between tour guides.
We have an awesome area at Base Camp with shade, loads of comfy seating, hammocks, yard games and ice water. It’s a great place to hang before and after the tour. Your reservation also secures you free park entry into McKinney Roughs Nature Park to hike before or after, it’s a beautiful place!.
Yes. We operate rain or shine. We do not, however, operate in thunderstorms or extremely high winds. If we need to cancel a tour because of weather or wind you will be notified. See our weather policy here.
